The story worth telling

After recording, mark the points where a guest explains something clearly, changes their mind or gives a concrete example. Those are candidates for shorts. Keep the question or setup when the answer needs it.

Three things to capture

  1. The relevant setup
  2. The complete answer or example
  3. A natural endpoint

Let the camera run a little before and after each action. Those extra seconds give you room to find a better cut.
